Global employment law. Legalese to Legal Ease

Ask the way you'd ask a colleague. Get what the law states, with every line cited, attorney-reviewed and kept current.

Example search: "How much vacation pay do I owe in New Zealand?" returns the TerraNova rule "Vacation pay: rate and timing", cited to the Holidays Act 2003, sections 21 and 27.

Working globally means working under everyone's rules

Each country's laws are unique

Global employment law is fragmented and difficult to navigate without spending hours researching and thousands on legal counsel. There's no single source of information designed for HR, business teams, or companies starting to expand globally.

The law keeps moving

The policy you set up when you entered a market may not be the law today, and nobody explains what these changes simply are.

Getting it wrong is expensive

Companies are forced to pay by the hour for every question, or risk heavy fines or reputational damage if something was missed.

Spend your time running the business, not reading the statute

Never guessed, never hallucinated

  1. Source

Primary law only: the statute or regulation itself, plus official government guidance. Never blogs or secondary takes.

  2. Extract

AI extracts the employment provisions and drafts the first structure of each rule.

  3. Attorney review

An attorney checks 100% of rules, line by line, against the provision they come from.

  4. Publish

A rule goes live only after it clears review. Then we keep watching the law.

  • Annual leave

When an employee takes vacation (called annual holidays in New Zealand law), employers must pay them at whichever is greater: their ordinary weekly pay as at the start of the holiday, or their average weekly earnings (gross earnings over the past 12 months divided by 52) over the 12 months immediately before the end of the last pay period before the holiday.

- Employers must pay this vacation pay before the holiday is taken, unless the employer and employee agree instead to pay it in the pay period covering the time the holiday is taken…

What is TerraNova?

TerraNova turns official employment law into plain-English rules, each cited to the exact section it comes from so you spend your time on decisions, not research.

Do I need to know legal terms to search?

No. Ask in your own words, the way you would ask a colleague. Mention a country and the search filters to it automatically, or pick a country from the flag beside the search bar. Leave it on the globe to search every country you cover.

What does TerraNova cover, and what does it leave out?

Statutory rules between employer and worker: hiring and contracts, working time, wages, leave, mandated benefits, health and safety, discrimination, employee data, termination, notice, severance and post-termination restrictions. Not covered: entity formation, payroll tax, social security mechanics, immigration, pensions, general data protection, contractor classification outside employment statutes.

How current is the information?

Every rule states the law as it stands today. We monitor supported countries and tell you what changed and which rules it affects.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. We offer 7-day free trials for all new accounts.

What if you don't support the country I need?

We aim to prioritize new country support based on demand. Let us know which country we should add by either requesting it on your TerraNova dashboard or by emailing us at Support@TerraNova-Intel.com.

Can I change or cancel my plan anytime?

You can cancel or modify your account's plan at any time. You’ll have access to your account through the end of your billing cycle. Please note all accounts are limited to one country swap per month.
